It's no secret that many of the hit songs on Adele's album 21 were fueled by heartache over a breakup, but what might come as a shock to fans is that songrwriting wasn't the only way the 24-year-old British singer coped with her pain. According to author Marc Shapiro's upcoming biography, Adele also used alcohol to numb the heartache -- so much so that she became dependent on it.
